“There was no magic”: why vulnerable children need your help this Christmas
Family support worker Sian sees the difficulties faced by vulnerable children every day. At Christmas, the challenges can be especially stark.
“One family that I supported recently had to flee due to domestic violence,” she says. “They were living in temporary accommodation. It was coming up to Christmas and they didn’t have heating in the house. They didn’t have food in the cupboards. There was no magic.”
